Yangon, Myanmar, 2014

Young men (often not older than 14) are performing the most dangerous and hardest labour in service depot at Aung Mingalar bus station. This bus station is one of two largest stations serving Yangon.
Boy in this picture was making repairs to the suspension and breaks of a Chinese made bus.

he is. I took 3 shots of him. first he was looking up, not knowing I'm there. This is the second when he noticed me. For the third shot he lowered his hand looked right at me and smiled..

I used to do that for a living in the US. That is Definitly not something a kid should be doing at all much less half-naked and with proper equipment! I had two friends die from small cars crushing them while they worked on them at home. There would be nothing recognizable left of that kid if something went wrong.

Those are basic tools they get the job done...barely. I'm sure they are having fun. Being a Mechanic is fun, but Buses are no joke something kids shouldn't be working on without proper protection. The tires alone are enough to break bone if they fall on you right. I'm just a big worry wart when it comes to kids and dangerous situations. Sorry for the rant.
